Friends of The Certosa di Capri is an international association of charitable organisations dedicated to raising funds for the restoration and support of the Certosa di San Giacomo in Capri (“the Certosa”).
U.K.
In the United Kingdom, Friends of The Certosa di Capri is registered as charity no. 1114136 and as Private Limited Company No. 5614661 in England & Wales, and is eligible to receive donations on a tax-advantaged basis pursuant to the Gift Aid programme.
U.S.
In the United States, Friends of The Certosa di Capri Inc. is registered as a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation with EIN 43-2087756, and is qualified to receive donations on a tax-deductible basis to the extent permitted by U.S. Law.
Italy
In Italy, Amici della Certosa di Capri ONLUS has been established as an ONLUS with Fiscal Number 90059159632 and is qualified to receive donations on a tax-deductible basis to the extent permitted by Italian law.
International Committee
The International Committee of the Friends of the Certosa di Capri, chaired by Fawn Wilson White, coordinates the activities of the national organisations and organises international fundraising programmes and events. It also liaises with national, regional and local government entities and with La Soprintendenza Speciale del Polo Museale Napoletano. (see below)
Soprintendenza Speciale del Polo Museale Napoletano
La Soprintendenza Speciale del Polo Museale Napoletano is the Italian government entity responsible for the day-to-day management of the Certosa and its programmes. The Superintendent, Prof. Nicola Spinoza, fully supports the activities of the Friends of the Certosa di Capri and works closely with the Friends in realising the programmes and events to which the Friends are dedicated.
